The Sandroine Awards 1953 ballot picks Barbara Stanwyck as Lead Actress, Masayuki Mori as Lead Actor and Kinuyo Tanaka as Supporting Actress. It is a personal, alternative ranking of the year's best acting performances in cinema: the top five in each of the four acting categories, with performances from around the world next to the usual favourites. 12 of the 15 picks on the 1953 ballot are from outside the United States (Japan and France).
