The Sandroine Awards 1955 ballot picks Katharine Hepburn as Lead Actress, Gérard Philipe as Lead Actor, Birgitte Federspiel as Supporting Actress and Preben Lerdorff Rye as Supporting Actor. It is a personal, alternative ranking of the year's best acting performances in cinema: the top five in each of the four acting categories, with performances from around the world next to the usual favourites. 13 of the 15 picks on the 1955 ballot are from outside the United States (Japan, France, Denmark, Spain and England).
