The Sandroine Awards 1957 ballot picks Giulietta Masina as Lead Actress, Victor Sjöström as Lead Actor, Setsuko Hara as Supporting Actress and Chishû Ryû as Supporting Actor. It is a personal, alternative ranking of the year's best acting performances in cinema: the top five in each of the four acting categories, with performances from around the world next to the usual favourites. 15 of the 19 picks on the 1957 ballot are from outside the United States (Scotland, Japan, Russia, Belgium, Sweden, Italy, England and Germany).
